diversity

  • Italian, German, English and perhaps other languages are spoken locally

  • We consciously invite people with different cultural perspectives, backgrounds and origins to help shape and enliven the place

  • At BARAKA you meet people of different origins and cultural backgrounds. The reflection and questioning of one's own cultural glasses are always encouraged and practiced

  • In order to become citizens of the world, we can open our eyes to human diversity and explicitly invite it to us

  • Eurocentrism (seeing the European Western standard as a yardstick for the whole world) is a phenomenon that we are becoming aware of and want to overcome step by step.

  • A sustainable life for us humans is only possible through and in lived diversity
